RB, Travis Etienne of Jacksonville Jaguars is one one of the most intriguing prospects that the Fantasy Football Industry is enamored with at this time. Another phenom in the fantasy realm is that RB, Christian McCafferty of the Carolina Panthers and RB, Cam Akers of the LA Rams are at Full Health. Let’s not forget about RB, Saquan Barkley of the New York Giants is projected to return to his elite form as an NFL rookie pre injury slide(s). WR, Michael Pittman of the Indianapolis Colts has been building productive connection with newly acquired QB, Matt Ryan from Atlanta this off season according to sources close to the situation. WR, Allen Robinson of the now Los Angeles Rams looks to be a great fit with the Rams explosive offense and he, with QB, Matthew Stafford could be among the elite in the NFL is also generating high expectation in both real life and fantasy realms alike. Yes, there are many more updates already reported and much more to come prior to the start of the 2022 NFL season. The aforementioned NFL players/situations are amongst the easiest for The FantasyGoodeSports community to discuss and acknowledge at this point in the off season. However, as previously addressed in previous articles of TheGoodeNews, we go cutting edge routes people. Yes, we delve deeper than just what’s before the naked eye of most Fantasy Brands and communities alike. Our community gets what’s underneath the dinner table. Yeah, WE EAT IT ALLLLL UP!! Our aggressive appetite to find those diamonds in the rough fantasy players that we can draft late or have on waiver wire speed dial is our goal and has produced positive results in our family for over two decades now(collectively albeit). Yes, historically, our Brand was amongst the first in our fantasy circles to find the Arian Fosters’ of Texans, Alfred Morris of Washington Redskins then, Victor Cruz of NY Giants, Miles Austin of Dallas Cowboys are amongst the few Fantasy league winning difference makers – diamonds in the rough that we either drafted with our final draft selection in respective fantasy drafts or even acquired via waiver wire or savy trading for with unbeknownst owners prior to their blow up in the NFL league.

Be that as it may, TheGoodeNews will unravel some potential Diamonds in the rough at this point in the offseason. Afterall, it’s about being among the first in the industry to know these players in order to obtain them at a discounted fantasy draft price via ADP. Once they explode in the Official Pre-season, it will be too late to obtain these players on the cheap. **On our Diamond in the ROUGH Radar 2022**

The INEVITABLE writing on the Wall!!

Drew Lock, QB of Seattle Seahawks was a disappointment in Denver the past two seasons. He was provided a decent opportunity to take the reins of the team after Legendary Peyton Manning retired from the Broncos. However, he played with great hesitation due to the fast play at the NFL level compared to his competition while slinging the rock at Missouri University. He possesses sneaky above average atletism that many fantasy enthusiast are failing to acknowledge (4.69 forty yard dash – 5th fastest in his respective draft class) and has an undeniable rocket passing arm (August 14, 2021 recorded an 80 completed pass to KJ Hamler) that many are overlooking at this point in his short NFL career. He was traded from the Broncos to compete for the Starting QB position with the Seattle Seahawks. Geno Smith is his main competition in Seattle at this time due to the Franchise electing not to aggressively pursue the services of QB, Baker Mayfield who has been traded to the Carolina Panthers for pennies on the dollar (subliminally). These two facts have meaning! It suggests that The Seattle Franchise is currently content with what they have in the Quarterback room and want to see exactly what they have in Geno and Drew. Remember, Geno Smith was traded from the New York Jets to Seattle to backup the starter, Russell Wilson. Now with Wilson shipped to Denver, Seattle traded this offseason to obtain both Drew Lock and underrated Tight End, Noah Fant from Denver. This is another underlying detail many are overlooking as well that will provide an upward edge to Lock eventually starting over Geno Smith in 2022 is the already strong connection he has with Fant from Denver. Be mindful that Coach Pete Carroll has a coaching philosophy that allows players and team mates alike to battle each practice to obtain the starting job at each respective position. So, do not read too much into current Beat Writer content regarding Geno being in the apparent lead to open the 2022 NFL season as the Seahawks’ starting QB. At the generation of this publication, it’s only July 6th and Drew Lock has only been in Seattle for a very short while in comparison to Geno Smith who will have the initial edge in knowing the team’s playbook. I would be surprised if Drew Lock does not rise to the occasion in beating out Geno for the 2022 week 1 start(or shortly thereafter). Drew Lock is younger and simply more talented at the position to ride to pine behind Geno Smith at this point in their NFL Careers at this point. I have observed Drew Lock possess a very calming nature on and off the field (Twitter attacks). Reports out of Seahawks camp this offseason is that he gels well with his teammates and displays great leadership skills which is crucial to being a productive Shot Caller for any NFL team. Lock provides a new look to the offense in comparison to Russel Wilson and Geno Smith. Drew Lock knows his subpar play in Denver has exhausted some important options at being named a starting Quarterback in the league. He will play with more urgency to produce at higher level than he did for the Broncos. I trust that his superior talent and youthfulness will peg him as the starter. Drew Lock will surprise many in the Fantasy Community in 2022 because, no one is knocking the door about this underrated Quarterback. Now do not get me wrong in writing good things about Lock as if he is the next Patrick Mahomes in the making for Seattle. But, I am saying he can provide consistent QB2 statistics in Superflex formats and finish at the QB18 to QB20 respectively in 2022.

**Projected Goode stats for Drew Lock in 2022 = 3,837 passing yards and 23 passing touchdowns/323 rushing yards with 4 rushing touchdowns with only 9 interceptions.**

Hybrid Shocker Player

TE/QB Hybrid Taysom Hill of the New Orleans Saints is quietly obtaining valuable opportunities with the Saints Offense in 2022 as he is transitioning from Quarterback to the Tight End position respectively. Not many Fantasy enthusiast are ringing the bell on this multi talented football player. He possesses a unique skill set of well above average athleticism(4.46 forty time) toughness to run the ball, good enough arm talent to be considered as an NFL spot starter at the Quarterback position and the uncanny ability to read defenses at the line of scrimmage. Now let’s factor in the notion that RB, Alvin Kamara is bracing for an expected 6 plus game suspension for the 2022 upcoming season for his involvement in an assault that took place pre – Hall of Fame football game that took place in Las Vegas on an elevator. In the likely events that occurs, the Saints will be scratching and shuffling to get talented play makers at the skilled positioned players. The Saints did draft Chris Olave at the WR position and are getting a healthy Michael Thomas back from significant injury for the offense along with Gun Slinger minded QB, Jameis Winston is projected to be under center for New Orleans at the start of the 2022 NFL season. Let’s not forget the stingy Saints Defensive Unit that has shut Legendary QB Tom Brady down twice in 2021 and finished as a top 5 unit respectively. Each of these facts will lead to Taysom Hill being deployed as a gadget player for the Saints that will have the ball often and in advantageous field positions more often than not, to score offensively. Taysom will be deployed in Wild Cat formations more often than previous seasons due to Alvin Kamara’s absence and the team wanting to protect Winston from potential injury in running the ball in the Green Zone. Opposing defenses are familiar with the arm skills of Hill who can throw well enough passes to be effective in goal line situations. Taysom is highly respected for his rushing ability as a passer as well. Taysom Hill will provide a nice floor for fantasy purposes and will be a solid TE2 for the upcoming NFL season due to his ability to score rushing touchdowns. Don’t sleep too deeply on Hill this season, he has the potential to carry your team until the return of Alvin Kamara. We still have no confirmation that Michael Thomas is completely healthy from his injuries and the Saints may wan to protect him early by limiting his touches. By proxy, Taysom Hill will be the beneficiary of those voided touched between a talented WR Rookie in Olave.

**Projected Goode Stats for Taysom Hill in 2022 = 433 rushing yard/378 passing yards/39 receptions/10 total touchdowns**

**A Hard working, Drama Free, talented player will surface**

Brandon Aiyuk, WR of the 49ers is another diamond in the rough that not many Fantasy Enthusiast are acknowledging early this summer 2022 in comparison to others around his fantasy ADP. Brandon is just as talented as he is underrated in the fantasy community due to the elite play of teammate Deebo Samuel in 2021 and reports of Aiyuk being in the 49ers’s coaching staff’s dog house for unconfirmed disagreements that took place during practices in 2021. QB Jimmy G heavily targeted Tight End George Kittle and Wide Receiver Deebo in 2021 on high percentage plays of short to intermediate passing routes to get the ball out quickly to protect the quarterback. That landscape has changed as of late. It is expected that Jimmy G is still rehabbing his offseason surgery he underwent and also he is expected not to be with the team in September all together. This will open the door of opportunity for QB Trey Lance to provide some Razzle Dazzle type performances together for the offense in 2022 and beyond. Reports from reliable Beat Writers close to the situation are informing the community that Lance and Aiyuk have been developing a strong connection this offseason that can be among the top 10 in 2022. On another note, Teammate Deebo Samuel is surrounded by drama in his apparent quest to obtain a restructured contract due to his outstanding play in 2021. Samuel has only performed at such a high level for one season and is currently still committed to his rookie contract of 2019. There have been updates as of late that Deebo is unhappy in San Francisco after seeing other Wide Recievers getting mega million dollar new NFL deals and even other teams in 2022. So, with that being said, Brandon Aiyuk possesses the elite – enough skill set (21 MPH sprint and reliable pass catching abilities), New Elite Quarterback Play, a fresh start for the upcoming season regarding coaching staff and drama – free with a focused work lifestyle to enable him to capitalize off of the baked in opportunities headed his way this upcoming season.

**Projected Goode Stats for Brandon Aiyuk in 2022 = 65 reception for 920 yards/234 rushing yards/9 total touchdowns**
